Just a few weeks ago, OLEA premiered Owen Hopper's "Wind Blows Lotus Leaves." In case you missed our last performance, here's your chance to catch this exciting new work!
Built out of the idea of a collection of movements in Guang Ping Yang t’ai chi, the titles come from names of movements found in the long form. Each movement serves as a sonic representation of the physical movement and acts as a meditation and performance for audience and performer. Drawing on the structuring of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, there are both ensemble and solo movements.
